NEW DELHI: Residents of Signature View Apartments in Mukherjee Nagar have planned a protest on Thursday to voice their concerns over the alleged indifference shown by Delhi Development Authority officials towards their concerns.
The residents alleged that the officials failed to comply with both the lieutenant governor’s directive and Delhi High Court’s ruling, which declared the building unsafe for habitation and mandated DDA to provide immediate rental compensation to facilitate relocation.
“Despite four months passing since the court order, the authorities have not established a definite timeline for disbursing rental payments, leaving residents unable to relocate without facing additional financial strain,” said Amarendra Kumar Rakesh, president of the Signature View Apartments RWA.
“We will protest against DDA officials and file an official complaint with the law enforcement agencies to make them responsible for any unfortunate incident. We will gather at the apartment and later protest outside the DDA vice-chairman’s office,” said Amarendra Jha, former president of the RWA.
