VISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) conducted an e-lottery on Thursday to allocate plots in its NTR Smart Township MIG layouts, which are being developed across various parts of the Anakapalli, Visakhapatnam, and Vizianagaram districts.
The VMRDA held the first round of the e-lottery for the layouts in Adduuru (Anakapalli) and Garividi (Vizianagaram), in which 25 plots and 3 plots were allocated, respectively.
In the fourth round of the e-lottery for the MIG layout in Palavalasa, plots were allocated to 113 applicants, totalling a cumulative allocation of 339 plots across four rounds (out of a total of 472 plots).
VMRDA chairman Pranav Gopal and commissioner KS Viswanathan said that the state government has developed the NTR Smart Township MIG layouts, offering affordable prices for middle-income groups.
“Under the aegis of the VMRDA, modern infrastructure—including a sewage treatment system, underground sewage drains, BT and CC roads, drinking water facilities, and parks—is being provided in these layouts. There are 146 plots on 20 acres in Adduuru layout, 212 plots on 21.3 acres in Garividi layout, and 472 plots on 76.96 acres in Palavalasa. According to govt guidelines, 10% of the total plots in each layout will be allocated to government employees (with an additional 20% price discount on these plots) and 5% to government pensioners. Interested parties can apply at www(dot)migapdtcp(dot)gov(dot)in,” they said.
The programme was attended by chief urban planner Shilpa, planning officer Chamanti and other officials.
