MADURAI: Madurai corporation announced a 5% rebate on property tax payments for the 2025-26 financial year for owners who pay their dues before April 30. The rebate is capped at 5,000 per taxpayer.
In a statement, the corporation urged residents to take advantage of the limited time offer by ensuring their property tax is paid on or before the deadline. The initiative aims to boost early tax collection and reduce last-minute payments.
To facilitate smooth tax payments, the corporation also decided to keep tax collection centres open on weekends throughout April (except on public holidays). This move will help residents who may not be able to pay their taxes on weekdays.
