GURUGRAM: The Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP), Gurgaon, and a team from Sector 53 police station carried out a demolition drive in Saraswati Kunj, along Golf Course Road on Sunday.
Officials from DTCP said the enforcement team demolished four houses that were being built in violation of approved layout plans. These structures, according to officials, were raised without obtaining the mandatory approvals and clearances.
In addition to the demolition, two buildings that were in the final stages of construction were sealed. These buildings were also flouting zoning and planning norms.
The enforcement team razed two labour accommodations that were illegally constructed on the right of way (ROW) of the internal road within the colony.
“The ROW is meant to remain clear for movement and public access, and no construction is allowed on it under any circumstances,” a DTCP official said.
