LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will develop an industrial township along the Agra Expressway for which it held a meeting with farmers at Dona village in Kakori on Friday.
The meeting, attended by village heads and district panchayat members from 12 identified villages, focused on land acquisition.
LDA joint secretary Sushil Pratap Singh said the industrial township will be developed over 5,610 acres in Sadar and Sarojininagar tehsils, covering villages like Bhalia, Adampur Indwara, Bahru, Jaliyamau, Madarpur, Ibrahimganj, Naktaura, Gehalwara, Tejkrishna Khera, Rewari, Sakra and Dona. The plan includes residential facilities for over 2 lakh people and is expected to boost investment and create largescale employment in the industrial, health, education and logistics sectors.
Farmers raised demands for infrastructure such as internal roads, drainage, health centres, schools, parks, cremation grounds and water bodies, which LDA agreed to consider. Concerns over land record errors and illegal plotting by some property dealers were also addressed, with officials assuring corrective measures and action through joint teams.
The plan is being finalised under the Chief Minister Urban Expansion Scheme, and LDA is engaging directly with villagers to ensure smooth implementation.
