Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has inked a rental agreement for four luxury apartments spread across two floors of a residential tower in Mumbai’s upscale Pali Hill neighbourhood. The twin agreements total Rs 24.5 lakh per month in rent, with a combined security deposit of Rs 1.47 crore.
The actor has registered both leave‑and‑license agreements on May 20. The tenure of these agreements spans five years, from May 15, 2025, through May 14, 2030, with a lock‑in period of 45 months for both parties. An annual escalation of 5% has been agreed in both contracts.
Each floor commands Rs 12.25 lakh per month in rent and requires a Rs 73.5 lakh deposit, summing to Rs 24.5 lakh monthly and Rs 1.47 crore upfront, showed the documents accessed through Zapkey(dot)com.
Khan’s move aligns with the ongoing redevelopment plans for his current housing society, where he reportedly owns around 12 apartments. The project, currently in the documentation and approval stage, is expected to be started later this year. The existing five-story building is expected to be redeveloped into a 15-story tower.
ET’s email query to Khan’s team did not elicit any response.
Mumbai’s Pali Hill, long known for its elite and affluent neighbourhood, continues to witness deals by high profile personalities. In a recent comparison, Shah Rukh Khan leased two duplexes in a tower in the vicinity for about Rs 24 lakh per month, a combined total of Rs 2.9 crore annually.
