NOIDA: Persistent civic issues in Noida have prompted the Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA) to seek an urgent meeting with the Noida Authority CEO. Despite repeated complaints, problems such as irregular water supply, garbage accumulation, sanitation lapses, blocked drains, and broken boundary walls remain unresolved across sectors.
At a recent meeting of FONRWA’s executive committee, members expressed frustration over the authority’s inaction. “We received several complaints from member RWAs over pending civic works. Nearly all sectors have unresolved issues. Earlier, over 50 RWAs submitted written petitions, and we had scheduled a meeting with the CEO on April 19. But it was cancelled and hasn’t been rescheduled,” said FONRWA president Yogendra Sharma.
Sector 105, home to around 10,000 residents, continues to face severe water supply issues. “Drinking water is not available. If it is, it’s dirty. There’s no fixed timing, no pressure, and sometimes no supply at all,” said Deepak Sharma, RWA president of Sector 105. He added that the issue affects areas like Judge Colony, Sector 108, HIG Flats, and Gejha village.
Sector 122 RWA general secretary Devendra Singh flagged the lack of waste disposal and poor sanitation management. “Garbage has been piling up in houses and on streets for days. It’s leading to foul smells and the risk of disease outbreaks,” he said.
FONRWA’s Sharma also said, “Development work has stalled in many sectors. Citizens are facing daily difficulties due to delays in road repairs, water, sewerage, and transport facilities. We urge the authorities to resolve these issues at the earliest.”
Civic issues like unregulated traffic, water scarcity, and sanitation lapses remain common across Noida, with residents now demanding accountability from the authority.
