Yashwant Singh, a member of a royal family of Rajasthan, has bought an 867-square-metre bungalow in South Delhi’s Golf Links for Rs 100 crore.

Singh has paid Rs 7 crore in stamp duty and corporation tax for the property, according to documents accessed through CRE Matrix, a real estate data analytics firm.

Anu Jindal, a resident of DLF The Camellias, sold the property.

Her husband, Jai P. Jindal, who runs an art glass firm, confirmed the transaction and said they sold the bungalow as they planned to move to The Camellias.

Jindal said the buyer is from a royal family in Alwar and already owns a bungalow on APJ Abdul Kalam Road.

Singh could not be contacted for comment.

“Transactions in Lutyens’ Delhi continue to take place, though very few bungalows are available for sale. Golf Links is leading the activity with over half a dozen Rs 100 crore-plus transactions in a year,” said Pradeep Prajapati, founder of boutique real estate consultancy firm Wealthvisory Capital.

Recently, Sanjay Kukreja, partner at homegrown private equity firm ChrysCapital, and his wife Shaveta Sharma, CEO and MD of the Central Square Foundation (CSF), bought a 1,250-square-yard bungalow in South Delhi’s Golf Links for ₹155 crore.

Golf Links has emerged as a particular favourite among corporate leaders and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) buying properties in posh areas of Delhi. Prices have remained firm due to extremely limited availability.

Earlier, Vasudha Rohatgi, wife of former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi, purchased a 2,100-square-yard bungalow in Golf Links for Rs 160 crore.

Before that, Maxop Engineering director Shailesh Arora bought a 575-square-yard bungalow in Golf Links for Rs 68.5 crore. Pawan Agarwal, deputy managing director of DB Group (Dainik Bhaskar), also purchased a 575-square-yard bungalow in the same area for Rs 75 crore.

Sunil Vachani, chairman of Dixon Technologies, and Vishwavir Ahuja, former chairman and managing director of RBL Bank, are among those who have acquired bungalows in Golf Links since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Delhi High Court senior advocate Arun Kathpalia also bought a 763-square-yard bungalow in Delhi’s Golf Links for Rs 69 crore.
