LUCKNOW: The allotments of 338 defaulters in various Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) housing schemes are set to be cancelled. These allottees failed to pay the full amount for their flats, with some depositing as little as 40%. Final notices are being issued, after which the allotments will be revoked. The vacated units will be put up for sale through the ‘first come, first served’ method and e-auction.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway to open registration for 72 under-construction EWS (economically weaker section) flats in Dalibagh. Built at a cost of Rs 5.5 crore on a 2,314 sq metre plot in Hazratganj, each flat will have a carpet area of around 24.72 sq metres. LDA vice chairperson Prathamesh Kumar instructed officials to speed up construction and development work and complete RERA registration at the earliest.

The aim is to open public registration in Aug. The registration process will begin once the project is registered with RERA.

Kumar said: “The authority is committed to providing affordable housing for the economically weaker section. Soon, the registration process will begin for housing in Dalibagh.”
