LUCKNOW: The state govt on Friday announced that the budget for rolling out housing projects under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) has been sanctioned for the 2025-26 financial year, with a corpus of Rs 736 crore set aside to provide housing for urban poor families across the state.
The scheme, aimed at providing accommodation to underprivileged and economically weaker families, is jointly run by the central and state govts.
Once a family is found eligible, grants and subsidies are issued to provide them with funds. Geo-tagging and photographs of the house, along with its construction stages, are uploaded to claim the benefits.
