JAIPUR: Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) has received an overwhelming response for its newly launched residential schemes in smaller towns and semi-urban areas of the state.
On Aug 20, urban development and housing minister Jhabar Singh Kharra launched a few residential and commercial schemes of the housing board spread across several major towns, small towns, and even semi-urban areas of the state. Following the event, the RHB started accepting applications for these schemes.
“Although the last date of applications for these schemes is Sept 19, we received more applications than the actual number of units for our projects in Nainwa in Bundi district and for the Badi Road scheme in Dholpur. It is quite encouraging that we got applications more than the number of units even for a semi-urban region like Nainwa,” an official disclosed.
In Nainwa, the RHB is constructing 72 independent houses for different income groups at a starting price of Rs 7,80,000. Similarly, on Bari Road in Dholpur, the board launched a 64-flat scheme for the economically weaker sections and for the lower income group. The starting price of these properties is Rs 12,45,000.
Officials said the maximum response was for the 142-flats housing scheme in Udaipur known as the Panerio ki Madri. The project has flats for both the economically weaker sections and lower income group categories, with a starting price of Rs 11,68,000.
“We received applications 18 times the number of available units for the Udaipur scheme,” an official added.
In addition, RHB launched schemes in Atru in the Baran district and on the Langera Road in Barmer.
